Craft - Antique Haberdashery Brighton

If you have visited Brighton on the weekend you may have stumbled across on of its many antique and bric a brac stalls or vintage treasure trove that is tucked away down a side street... On a Saturday during the fine weather there is an amazing market on Upper Gardener St which houses all kinds of amazing stalls from 70's retro furniture to bootfair style jewellery stands and local fresh veg and produce. The atmosphere is relaxed and before 12pm you can comfortable stroll at a leisurely pace along the street staring at books, vinyl and vintage furniture. After then its packed! My favourite is the antique haberdashery stall! The owner runs a shop housing all his amazing textiles, buttons and trims in Hastings which is just along the coast a little and rumour has it also has a huge warehouse in France from where he sources his amazing hoard. His stock changes weekly but you are guaranteed to fall in love with a card of 1930's ceramic buttons or a spool of shiny military thread. I dare you not to!
