Inspiration - Karen Barbe

For several years I have been following the amazing work of Santiago based weaving, embroidery and textile artists Karen Barbe.  Her imagery and playful lifestyle shoots combine her love of colour, traditional craft and are very on point with trend ... Her homeware items are hand made treasures. Everything about her style and technique inspire me, you must go and take a look at her work I promise if you are a craft enthusiast you will be thrilled.

Craft - My Craft

Here is very small selection of some of the work and accessories I have made in the past 3 years. Sometimes painstaking, fiddly and often undone but always completely absorbing and full of exploration and joy. I do to love craft.

Zara Wood's Little Treasures were inspiration for the embroidery!

With thanks to all the lovely folks who attended for making it such a huge success! And to Amanda, Jo and of course the totally brilliant Zara Wood. We sketched and stitched and explored with thread and pencils. A wonderfully inspirational day at an amazing venue.
